From the largest recorder in the world to the loudest. At the moment I am developing super wide, cylindrical and loud Recorders. I call them ‘Eagles.’

 You can play all styles on it where a very loud and flexible recorder is neccesary. Playing elegant and soft is also possible, because the voicing is very fine. This bore is so big and the wind way so wide that I don’t need to make a rough voicing to get power in the instrument. The “archaic” Eagles are playing only an octave and a small 7th ( like many consort recorders) but my latest development is an Eagle with keys on the foot, which makes the range 2 ½ octaves. Küng is supporting these instruments and will probably take them in production next year.

Best is to order these Eagles adjusted to your own breathing type;

“Eagle-sun” or “Eagle-moon”. You need a lot of air and in that case it is important not to lose your energy on the wrong wind way, which is not fitting to your playing. See the article “Inhaler or Exhaler?” on my website.
