Modern fingering
The "Dream" recorders are multi-purpose instruments based on originals from all style periods.
You can play as easy Bach, renaissance, contemporary, folk or jazz on it. The soprano and alto are made in 2 pieces and the tenor and bass in 3 pieces with keys.

History
The dream recorder series that I developed for Mollenhauer is a combination of different styles of Renaissance recorders. The idea for the dream recorder really took root when I was nine years old and had trouble with my narrow bore Baroque soprano. A few years ago, I asked myself why children have been playing on such boring recorders for the last three-quarters of a century.A recorder is a valuable instrument and so it is very important that beginners have something good offered to them. After making recorders for professionals for many years and gaining much experience with differing Renaissance models, I had enough knowledge to develop something better for children.

The dream recorder has a beautiful strong supportive tone through the entire register, large finger holes that children can feel better (the nerves at children's finger ends are not as well developed) and an attractive colour and shape. During the development I worked from several recorders, including the transitional Rosenborg - "Van Eyck" soprano in Copenhagen, a Ganassi soprano and a conical Renaissance consort soprano. By combining these models with each other, a Renaissance recorder with Baroque fingering came into existence. Professionals also play Van Eyck, Bach, renaissance, contemporary, folk or jazz with equal ease on this multi-purpose recorder. A wonderful solo instrument can also be created by making the recorder in box or palisander.
